Georgia: The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, announced a 3-month paid internship competition in public institutions, as well as public and private law entities entering the public institution system.
Within the framework of the competition, one can get an internship in the Akhaltsikhe Municipality Hall in the following departments:
- Public Health and Social Services Service, Social Affairs Division;
- Department of Public Health and Social Services, Health Protection Program;
- Division of the Supervisory Service, Municipal Inspection;
- Internship Supervisory Service, Municipal Projects Construction and Rehabilitation Supervision Division;
- Department of Education, Culture and Sports Service, Education, Sports, Innovation and Tourism;
- Department of Education, Culture and Sports Service, Culture and Protection of Women’s Rights;
- Department of Infrastructure Services, Spatial Arrangement, Architecture and Urban Planning;
- Department of Infrastructure Services, Project Management;
- Department of Economic Services, Local Collectors and Taxation;
- Department of Economic Services, Municipal Property Accounting and Management;
- Administrative and Legal Service, Human Resources Management Division;
- Administrative and Legal Services, Case Production Division;
In addition, it is noteworthy that the internship aspirants can apply for the period 1-10 September 2025, on the website administered by the government administration – www.hr.gov.ge.
The internship may be an active citizen of Georgia, who speaks the state language, is studying in the first level of higher education (in case of the final academic year), or second level, or has completed the first or second level of higher education in the spring semester of the academic year 2024-2025.
The criteria for selection are the academic performance of the person wishing for an internship (point system – 71-100 score index and/or GPA – 2.7-4.0). In addition, the authorities, according to the structural unit, also determine the additional qualification requirements of trainees based on specifics.
The competition will be held in two stages: a savings application and an interview. The person wishing for an internship will be evaluated by the commission created by the head of the relevant public institution. In the case of equal candidates, preference will be given to candidates with higher academic qualifications during the interview.
The selected candidates will hold internships from October 1 to December 31, 2025. The Georgian Ministry added that anyone interested in getting additional information about the internship can do so by sending an email to userhr@gov.ge.
