Georgia: The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on January 14, 2026, Wednesday.

During the meeting, the attention was focused on the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral relations between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates, promoted by close political ties. In this context, the special importance of the official visit of the President of the United Arab Emirates to Georgia last year was noted.
The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen political relations and agreed on the importance of regular high-level meetings to expand cooperation and mutual understanding between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates.
The parties discussed the possibilities of deepening cooperation in the trade, economic, and investment spheres. The importance of the historical investment of the “Eagle Hills” company in Georgia, 6.6 billion US dollars, was emphasized, as well as the role of the Tbilisi dry port project implemented by the investment of the United Arab Emirates and the successful activities of other large investment companies in Georgia.
The meeting, which was held at the summit of the Sustainable Development Week in Abu Dhabi within the framework of the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia, was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environment and Agriculture David Songulashvili, Minister for Justice Paata Salia, and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
