Jighaura hosts Joint Scientific-Practical Agro-Forum of Georgia 

Georgia-Spain Joint Scientific-Practical Agro-Forum "Modern Spanish Agrotechnologies for Care of Tree Gardens" was held in Jighaura, based on the Agricultural Scientific-Research Center of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture.

Georgia-Spain Joint Scientific-Practical Agro-Forum “Modern Spanish Agrotechnologies for Care of Tree Gardens” was held in Jighaura, based on the Agricultural Scientific-Research Center of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture.
Agroforum was held in cooperation with the Agricultural Scientific-Research Center and Spanish Agro Corporation “Viveros Verón”. The goal of the event was to share modern technologies, scientific achievements, and international experiences in agriculture, as well as to introduce innovative approaches to Georgian farmers and field specialists.
The Forum was opened by Levan Ujmajuridze, Director of the Agricultural Scientific-Research Center.
“The state pays special attention to the construction of new hexili gardens, especially to the implementation of prospective varieties in production.” Farming is one of the important fields of Georgia’s agriculture. This is why it is important to share modern technology and international experience. Today’s AgroForum is a good example of this, because Georgian specialists and farmers have the opportunity to get acquainted with innovative approaches and solutions that will contribute to the development of the vision sector in the climate challenges,” said Levan Ujmajuridze.
Within the forum, Zviad Bobokashvili, the head of the Vision Research Service of the Agricultural Scientific and Research Center, presented the scientific research and results achieved in the center in the field of vision.
Georgian and Spanish scientists and field experts shared modern approaches and practical experience with the participants in the field of vision farming. Topics included selecting and evaluating new shrub varieties, developing modern plant farming, garden management and irrigation systems, modern irrigation and fertigation methods, climate risk reduction, and the implementation of innovative agrotechnologies.
The event was attended by farmers, agronomists, scientists, representatives of plant agriculture, the private sector and agribusiness, students of agrarian studies, and other people interested in the field of agriculture.
At the end of the Agroforum, the participants viewed the unique collectible grape varieties at the base of Jighaura.
