The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, David Songhulashvili, met with the President of the International Guild of Somalia (ISG), Joseph Miller.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia shared glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page on July 28, 2026, Tuesday. A small note about the discussions held between them was also shared along with its glimpses.
During the meeting, Joseph Miller presented the Minister with the initiative for Global Education and International Development of Georgian Wine. The initiative is a five-year strategic framework that aims to strengthen the long-term international positions of Georgian wine through education, professional development, market engagement and structured international cooperation.
“Increasing the international awareness of Georgian wine is one of the main priorities of the state. Initiatives that promote deepening knowledge of Georgian wine in international professional circles, getting to know its unique history and culture, as well as creating new partnerships and opportunities. Projects based on education, professional development and international cooperation will further strengthen the positions of Georgian wine on the world market. Today’s meeting also served this purpose,” David Songhulashvili noted.
The initiative unites five main components – formation of educational programs and professional development system in the direction of Georgian wine; deepening international partnership and expansion of commercial opportunities; implementation of cognitive programs based on practical experience for foreign professionals in Georgia; multilingual education and communication Creating resources, which will contribute to the effective presentation of Georgian wine on the international sphere; also, results Perfection of assessment and reporting mechanisms.
