In Khulo Municipality, Ghorjomi Gorge, and Didachara village, infrastructure projects are being actively implemented. Zurab Pataradze, Chairman of the Government of Adjara, got acquainted with the works and met with the local population.
The Government of Adjara shared the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook page on August 29, 2026, Saturday. A small note about the meeting was also shared along with its glimpses.
At the meeting with the population, the Chairman of the Government noted that the implementation of infrastructure and tourism projects in the region and the creation of new employment opportunities for the local population remain the main priorities of the government.
Large-scale infrastructure works are underway in the Ghorjomi Gorge to develop equestrian tourism. The project envisages the construction of an open arena, a closed stable, an administrative center, and circular equestrian trails adapted to the environment. The open arena, located on one hectare, will serve both amateur and professional horse riders.
Zurab Pataradze also inspected the improvement works of the administrative center in the village of Didachara. The project includes the construction of a memorial to those who died in World War II, a spring, a retaining wall, paving stones, and a modern outdoor lighting system. This year, the administrative centers of Riketi and Agari are also planned to be improved, which will contribute to the improvement of the infrastructure of the villages and the creation of a comfortable environment for the population.
Together with the Chairman of the Government, the work underway in Ghorjomi and Didachara was reviewed by Member of the Parliament of Georgia Anzor Bolkvadze, Member of the Supreme Council of Ajara Minur Paksadze, Mayor of Khulo Municipality Vakhtang Beridze and Chairman of the Sakrebulo Renar Bolkvadze.
