The Chairman of the Adjara Government, Zurab Pataradze, together with the Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, opened the newly built annex to Daba Makhinjauri Public School in the Khelvachauri Municipality.

Zurab Pataradze and Givi Mikanadze inspected the renovated school infrastructure and congratulated the pupils and teachers on beginning their studies in an environment that meets modern standards.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Zviad Gabisonia, Minister of Education and Sport of Adjara Maya Khajishvili and representatives of the local government also familiarised themselves with the school’s infrastructure.
As part of the infrastructure project, a three-storey building for 400 pupils was built, complete with an indoor gym. The building is adapted for people with disabilities: a lift, adapted sanitary facilities and a ramp have been installed.
The Adjara Ministry of Education and Sport carried out the construction work and the project’s value is 2,500,000 lari.
To develop the school’s infrastructure, it is planned to demolish the old Makhinjauri School building and construct a second main building, which will house a library, an activity hall, laboratories, and other functional spaces alongside classrooms.
Representatives of the Adjara government and the local government congratulated pupils and teachers on the start of the new academic year in an environment of modern standards. They also visited the renovated spaces.
