Maia Khajishvili, the Ajara’s Minister of Education, Culture and Sports Maia Khajishvili visited construction site of a Makhinjauri public school in Khelvachauri. He was accompanied by Khelvachauri Mayor Zaza Diasamidze and representatives of the Ministry.
All the members of visiting delegation during their visit inspected the construction of the Makhinjauri Public School. A new additional three-story building is being built for 400 students at the Makhinjauri Public School in the Khelvachauri Municipality settlement.
This new building of public school will be able to accommodate 15 classrooms and a gym. The building will be fully equipped with the necessary equipment for providing modern education to students enrolled as well.
It is worth to note that the new building will be fully adapted for children with special needs. The facilities of ramps, an elevator and bathrooms will be arranged accordingly. At the same time existing gym building, which was not in use was dismantled for rehabilitation and reinforcement.
The total cost of this educational project to build school is 2,500,000 GEL. To ensure the uninterrupted and continue conduct of the educational process, after the completion of construction, the complete rehabilitation of the existing school building and the improvement of the territory will begin.

Some portion of building has been well furnished, however the construction to complete remaining work will continue and expected to be completed shorty. The minister and other members of his delegation interacted with official of construction company and instructed them to speed up construction work.
