Bolnisi: A new multifunctional sports hall was recently opened in Bolnisi Municipality. The hall aims to provide world-class sports infrastructure to the region’s sportspersons.
The Municipality has been providing many facilities to upgrade the sports infrastructure in the city. The authorities have also shared the information in this context on their different social media handles.
Notably the completed infrastructural project in Kvemo Kartli was visited by the State Trustee, Giorgi Dokhturishvili. He was accompanied by the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Davit Tabidze, his first deputy Giorgi Tsibadze and the Acting Mayor of Bolnisi Municipality Buba Gobejishvili.
A multi-functional sports hall has also been established in the new sports complex. This new sports complex will serve three types of sports. The first one is basketball the other two will be handball and volleyball.
At the same time, halls for boxing, wrestling, weightlifting, karate and physical training will function in the building with the best sports facilities. It is also to be noted that within the project, all necessary and auxiliary rooms for the sports complex’s functioning were also arranged. Central heating and cooling systems were installed.
An open parking lot was arranged near the complex and lanterns were installed. The building is fully adapted for disabled people.
The main objective is to provide disabled-friendly buildings to give them better opportunities. Many times, people with special needs find it difficult to get world-class equipment to continue their training.
The Municipal Development Fund financed the construction of the multi-purpose sports hall, which cost 2,600,000 GEL. The visiting delegation lauds the equipment available in the gym.
They also expressed hopes that this new facility will be a big boost for sportspersons. More importantly it will produce world-class sportspersons who will make the country proud at regional and international sports events as well.
Meanwhile, social media users reacting to the post expressed their happiness. They thanked the Municipality official for such great work promoting sports culture.
