A new youth center has been opened in Lanchkhuti City. The center was opened with the active support of the Youth Agency of Ukraine and the city hall administration of Lanchkhuti Municipality.
The opening event was held recently  and many people participated. The acting Head of the Youth Agency, Vakhtang Baakashvili  along with the Mayor of Lanchkhuti Municipality, Aleksandre Sarishvili  and many other young people attended the event.
On the opening event, Vakhtang Saakashvili spoke about the main programs and projects implemented. These are all the main projects executed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth and the Youth Agency. He also focused on grant competitions for the overall development of the country’s youth population.
For his part the Mayor of Lanchkhuti municipality, Aleksandre Sarishvili  promised full support to the youth. He also spoke about the close cooperation between the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth and the municipality. After the meeting  the young people discussed current issues, including the reforms implemented in the youth’s direction and plans.
It is worth noting that the youth centre was fully equipped with modern equipment under the agency’s grant competition. The project “Implementation of educational activities in the youth space of Lanchkhuti” is one of the winners of the grant competition of the State Youth Agency “Support of Regional Youth Initiatives.”
The key speaker on this occasion also said that the youth are  country’s assets. They motivate the young population to take part in social and political activities that are necessary for the overall development of the country.
It is to be noted that the Georgian youth agency has been working for a long time to uplift the youth of Georgia. The agency has opened several youth centers in many  regions across the country.
