Tbilisi: The First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Ilia Begiashvili, along with Giorgi Urushadze, State Trustee in Guria and local authorities, visited the ongoing infrastructural works in Ozurgeti and Lanchkhuti municipalities that has been funded by the Regional Projects Fund.
As updated by the infrastructure ministry of Georgia, the improvement of the exterior facade and entrance of the multi-apartment residential building located on Farnavaz Mefi Street in Ozurgeti Municipality is in the final stage. Also, the access road to the monastery in Jumati village is being rehabilitated.
Additionally, the ministry informed that the construction of an 8-kilometre road from the village of Shukhuti to the centre of the village of Gagauri in the Aket administrative unit of the Lanchkhuti municipality is in active phase.
In all three municipalities, the ministers paid visits to both the completed as well as ongoing projects. This year, approximately 42 million GEL was raised in the Guria region from various funds, such as the Regfund, the Mountain Fund, the Fund for Small Rehabilitation Works of Schools, the Rural Development Program, as well as from the projects financed by the European Union, and 375 projects of various types and scales were implemented.Â
“Starting with roads, gardens, squares, cultural and sports infrastructure, the project is completely adjusted to the needs of the population. I am sure that the year 2023 will not be less for Guria,” – stated Deputy Minister Ilia Begiashvili.
