A working meeting was held at the State Governor’s Administration office in Ambrolauri to discuss the current situation in general education and preschool institutions across the region. This was attended by many representatives of different departments also.
It is worth nothing that under the leadership of the State Governor of Racha-Lechkhumi Kvemo Svaneti, Papuna Margvelidze, a working meeting was held online, in which the mayors of municipalities, chairmen of the city councils, heads of the Resource Centre and A(A)I preschool institutions participated. They all shared their past experience along with suggestions to improve educational infrastructure in city hall or Ambrolauri.
It is also to be noted that the meeting discussed the current situation in schools and kindergartens across the region, needs, and ongoing construction work to improve the infrastructure. Moreover, the issues of financial help to these educational institutions was also discussed in details by all.
Notably currently, rehabilitation works are actively underway in 5 schools and 3 kindergartens in the region and 5 new kindergartens are being built in full compliance with modern standards.
“The development of educational infrastructure is one of the priorities of our government team and in this regard, a number of large-scale projects have been implemented in recent years. This process is still ongoing and aims to implement the educational process in a comfortable environment, which will positively affect the quality of education,” Papuna Margvelidze noted.
He also said that “As better educational facilities play a big role for imparting qualify education this is time for safeguarding future interest as well”.
