Adigeni: The administration of the local city hall is implementing several social welfare programs with a special focus on students. These programs include welfare initiatives for both young people and other members of the municipality.
The city hall has shared details of the number of such programs on its social media handles. The city hall’s official Facebook page stated “To promote and support the population and young people, the City Hall of Adigeni Municipality implementing various programs.”
The list of these programs includes:
- Financial assistance to socially disadvantaged first-year students studying in the first semester
- Mayor’s scholarship for successful students and excellent graduates
- Aid to students who are studying at the Faculty of Construction or Architecture
- Help for students who have been assigned the status of socially vulnerable group
- Help for members of a large family having financial problem
- Assistance in the form of tuition fees financed by the City Hall, which will be up to maximum 4000 GEL.
- It is also worth noting that assistance is being provided to students for overseas study. However, students need to return to the municipality after finishing their studies and get employed in the local self-government. The other program includes:
- Aid to school graduates living in Adigeni Municipality who scored 100% in the unified national exam
- Topper will be given a one-time cash gift of 2500 GEL from the City Hall
- Total aid to choreography students of Adigeni Music School and Culture Centre
- An art studio was opened for the students who want to pursue careers in art and City Hall financed the studies of students and young people
- Financial assistance will be given from the City Hall to successful young people in the fields of sports, music and art also.
The purpose of all the above mentioned programs is to encourage study-oriented, motivated and successful students to take advantage of scholarship programs to the maximum extent possible.
