Adjara, Georgia: The Adjara Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports organized a meeting “Project on my lesson”. This was a meeting with the authors of the selected projects and the National Teacher Award winners.
“Project on My Lesson” was opened on July 9, 2024, in Kobuleti, Georgia. The Adjara government supported many significant projects to promote teacher employment, including the program launched in 2023.
The Chairman of the government of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze; Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Maya Khajishvili; Mayor of Batumi, Archil Chikovani; and Deputy Chairman of the High Council of Adjara, Tite Aroshidze, congratulated the teachers on their victory in the project and congratulated the teachers for the victory in the project.
In question-answer mode, they talked about the success of the project, its importance and the increase of the number of future winning projects.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Government awarded Nani Kirkitadze and Ana Anushidze, teachers from the Adjara region who won the National Teacher Award, a cash award.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara has been implementing the program “Project on my lesson” since 2023 which aims to support teachers in achieving the national goals of general education through diversifying educational activities. This year the Competition Commission selected 100 project applications for financing.
At the first stage of the competition, 61 projects were selected to receive funding, a testament to the rigorous selection process. The second stage, slated to choose 100 projects for the academic year 2024-2025, promises to be equally meticulous and fair.
The teachers who won the competition will receive a salary supplement of 500 GEL during the academic year and an additional 1000 GEL to purchase the resources needed for the project’s implementation. This will ensure the project’s success and improve the learning process.
