The Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Zurab Pataradze, met with the Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, David Songhulashvili, on the spot to discuss ongoing pest control efforts in the region.
It is worth noting that, along with the Chairman Zurab Pataradze, the Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Adjara, Denis Salukvadze, was also present.

The chairman of the government noted that the fight against Farosana remains one of the important challenges every year. According to him, in the municipality of Kobuleti, the appropriate equipment has already been mobilized, and the active stage of measures to prevent the spread of pests and protect crops has begun.
In order to protect crops and ensure effective prevention, 40 units of specialized equipment have been mobilized in the Kobuleti municipality. Anti-pest poisoning works through thermal fog, and cold closing methods are being carried out in 14 administrative units of the municipality to ensure maximum protection of populated areas.
According to the small note shared by the Adjara Government, it should be noted that measures to fight against thyroid are carried out by the National Food Agency, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, in all municipalities of Adjara.
For maximum efficiency of the process, the treatment of the areas with the thermal fog method has started from today, and the works with the cold closure method are actively underway from May. In order to prevent the spread of pests, coordinated work will continue in the region continuously.
