Georgia: The Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Zurab Pataradze, participated in the opening of new police buildings in Kobuleti and Keda municipalities that meet modern standards.
Along with the Chairman of the Adjara Government, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Adjara, Tsotne Ananidze, Member of the Parliament of Georgia, Anzor Bolkvadze, and representatives of local governments also participated in the opening ceremony.
The Government of Adjara shared the glimpses of the opening on its official Facebook Page on August 19, 2026, Wednesday. The Government also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
The new infrastructure of modern standards was inspected by the Government and the Chairmen of the Supreme Council together with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, First Deputy Minister Roni Meskh, Deputy Gaga Kirkitadze, and the Ministry representatives, who thanked the law enforcers for their service and wished them a fruitful work in a renewed environment.
The newly built buildings, equipped with the latest equipment, include workspaces for detectives and investigators, evidence storage rooms, as well as rest and dining areas for employees. The buildings are fully adapted for people with special needs.
The new building of the Kedi Regional Administration of the Adjara Police Department has about 40 employees, and the Khutsubani Police Building of the Kobuleti Regional Administration has 24 law enforcers.
“Effective cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the joint contribution to the development of the region are a guarantee of the security and well-being of our population. I would like to express special gratitude to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Minister for the implementation of these important projects. The opening of modern police buildings in Keda and Khutsubani once again emphasizes that creating a peaceful environment for the equal development of our country and each municipality of the Adjara region is our common priority,” the Chairman of the Adjara Government noted.
