The preparations for the ceremonial events dedicated to the National Holiday of Georgia – Independence Day continue with large-scale activities in the Adjara region.
The Government of Adjara shared the glimpses of the preparations done for the ceremonial events for the Independence Day on its official Facebook Page on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The Government also shared a small note about the preparations along with its glimpses.
Representatives and agencies of the Adjara government, ministries, and municipalities are included in the preparation. On May 26, throughout the day, a wide variety of cultural, sports, and cognitive activities are planned in the region. At 17:10 in all major cities and municipalities of Georgia, the National Anthem of Georgia will be performed, and the main events will be held.
Ceremonial events will be held in Batumi on the territory of the Alphabet Tower, where the anthem will be performed by the Batumi State Music Center Symphony Orchestra, the Chapel, and the Batumi Salotbaro School of the State Folklore Center named after Anzor Erkomaishvili, after which a grand gala concert will be held.
On May 26, they meet in municipalities with a different and interesting program. Various children’s and entertainment activities are planned in Kobuleti Central Park and Amphitheater, and a festive concert will be held. In Khelvachauri, in addition to the concert of local ensembles, sports tournaments and exhibitions of entrepreneurial women’s works will be organized. There will be a festive atmosphere in the highland of Adjara too.
Sports events, flashmob “Khorumi,” and a concert of local creative groups are planned in Keda. In the middle, there will be an exhibition and sale of local products, as well as sports and children’s activities, and in Khulo, the day will start with a public procession and end with a celebratory concert.
