Kobuleti city hall meets over citrus production

Kobuleti:  As the bumper production of citrus is seen as a sign of a good harvest, the representative of the Kobuleti municipality held a meeting to discuss the plans for the overall production management of citrus fruits.

It is worth mentioning that the production of citrus is huge in the fruit production market of the country. Every year huge areas are covered under the plantation of these fruits as well. At the same time citrus fruits also make up a good chunk of the export share of the country, ultimately enhancing the financial capabilities of the fruit growers.

A significant number of the city hall members were present on the occasion to share their views on this issue. They called for the feedback from the farmers. It is to be noted that without the exact feedback of the farmers, it is totally impossible to formulate any farmer-oriented policies that can benefit them.

The chairman of the municipality also said that more and more investments will be made to boost agriculture production, especially the production of fruits in the locality.

Some of them also advocated inviting the farmers to share their suggestions with the authorities so that any misunderstanding could not emerge at a later stage.

Meanwhile, the Kobuleti city hall also took to their social media page and stated, “How citrus realisation is going on in the municipality, how much harvest local farmers have and whether there are any challenges in this direction – we held a meeting with Mayor’s representatives in administrative units.”
