Georgia: In the territory of Georgia, the trend of decreasing solid particles in the atmospheric air is fixed. This marks a prominent improvement in overall air quality compared to the previous days.
The Georgian LEPL National Environmental Agency shared the details related to the Atmospheric Air Quality of the country on its official Facebook Page on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. The Agency shared the data along with the details.
According to today’s data, solid particles of dust in the atmospheric air have shown a trend of decreasing, which is predicted by meteorological processes.
On December 1st, from the afternoon half of the day, in most of western Georgia and some regions of eastern Georgia, precipitation was recorded in the form of rain. Along with the rain, in some parts of Georgia, including in the capital, moderate west wind was recorded.
It is noteworthy that over the past few days, the spreading of desert dust masses from the south and southeast of some areas of Georgia has caused an increase in the concentration of solid particles in the atmospheric air.
The spread of desert dust on the territory of Georgia is periodically fixed throughout the year. The improvement of the situation depends on the development of the appropriate meteorological processes – rain, snow, and wind.
The National Environment Agency reports information on the spread of desert dust in the atmospheric air in the territory of Georgia based on data from the World Meteorological Organization, Dust Prediction Centers, and the National Hydrometeorological Department.
Additionally, it should be noted that continuous monitoring of atmospheric air quality is carried out by the National Environment Agency through automatic stations.
