Georgia: The representatives of the local self-government congratulated mothers with several children who are registered in the unified database of socially vulnerable families living in Akhaltsikhe municipality on Mother’s Day. The event took place on 3rd March.
In connection with the holiday, 83 mothers with 4 or more minor children living throughout the municipality received flowers and household items as a gift from the City Hall.
Mothers who had more than 4 children were personally visited in their families by the Deputy Mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality Ruben Karapetyan, Deputy Chairpersons of the City Council Davit Tabatadze and Hambartsu Baboyan, Head of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Women’s Organization Ina Kapanadze, Head of the Cultural Service Ketevan Mishvelidze, representatives of the local self-government and the Akhaltsikhe Youth Council.
The event was jointly organized by the Education, Culture and Sports, and Health and Social Services Departments of the Akhaltsikhe Municipality City Hall.
The Akhaltsikhe Municipality back in January launched a new initiative for newborn children as well which focused on providing them with financial help under their social welfare program. Under this initiative the families of the newborn should be registered as members of Akhaltsikhe, and they will receive money for how many children they have.
According to the information shared by the authorities, for the first newborn child the financial help provided will be 250 Gel and the amount increases by 5O Gel for every next child.
