Georgia: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Alexander Tsuladze honored 10 successful female scientists and apprentice-inventors girls by giving them awards on February 11, 2025, Tuesday.
It should also be noted that February 11 is marked as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared glimpses of the event on its official Facebook page on the same day. The Ministry also shared a small note along with the photographs.
According to the information provided by the Ministry, it should be noted that Minister Alexander Tsuladze congratulated the attending society on the International Day of Women and Girls in Scientists and focused on the role of women scientists in the development of science.

It is noteworthy that the Vice-Speaker of Parliament Nino Tsilosan, Minister of Culture of Georgia Tinatin Rukhadze and President of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia Roin Metreveli addressed the people gathered at the event.

The award event of Women and Girl Scientists was organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and Shota Rustaveli National Scientific Foundation of Georgia.
One of the important priorities of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia is to support women in science, including young researchers, promote the development of their capabilities, and support the involvement of women scientists in international science projects.
According to the UN General Assembly resolution, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science has been observed on February 11 since 2015, the Ministry said in its notice. Promoting women who are interested in science and encouraging their expanding participation in innovation, technology, and science are its main objectives.
It should be mentioned that the Ministry has hosted multiple events honoring the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and has been a part of this global aim for years.
