The Ambrolauri municipality administration extended congratulation to people on occasion of national mother day of Georgia. The mayor and other representatives also visited the houses of families to congratulate them for this special day of Georgia which is observed on March 3 every year.
The information in this regard was shared on social media handles by municipality as well. The official Facebook page of municipality stated that, “On march 3, on occasion of mother’s Day, Ambrolauri Municipality Mayor Zviad Mkheidze, Deputy Mayor Tamar Kevanashvili, City Council Chairman Aslan Saganelidze and Head of Social and Healthcare Service Marine Japaridze personally presented flowers and symbolic gifts to several single mothers and mothers with many children and congratulated them on Mother’s Day.”
The mayor also added that, “I would like to sincerely congratulate everyone on Mother’s Day! This day is an expression of gratitude for the boundless love and dedication that each mother expresses. You raise our future generation, strengthen families and the entire country. I wish you days full of joy and love”.
It is worth to note that every year large scale events are held in Georgia to mark mother day. The events are held across the country to make the occasion memorable as well.
The march 3rd is a national holiday in country. The day was declared a holiday as a gesture of respect for mother of country. The mayor while extending best wishes also said that this is not the first time we are organising such event, but these events are organised by us every year.
As per Mayor the main objective of these events to raise awareness in society and to recognise the role of mother in nation building. The healthy and well-educated mothers are backbone of health future of any country.
On the other hand the mothers who receive the gifts from Mayor and other representatives of the municipality also expressed gratitude towards Mayor and other officials of the municipality.
