The City Hall of Ambrolauri Municipality and the National Tourism Administration jointly introduced the training program for local guides. This was held to provide all-round information to the new guides who had just begun their career.
This intensive training program is for novice and practicing cultural tourism guides in Ambrolauri municipality. The program includes both theoretical lectures and interactive seminars and involves the acquisition of basic skills and current factual knowledge about the guide profession.
The course aims to provide a practical demonstration of mastering the elements of professional skills according to the norms established by the World Federation of Associations of Guides.
It is worth noting that the program includes studying wine from different regions, gastronomy, and tourist resources relevant to the municipality. The trainees will also  receive a certificate of participation at the end of the course.
As per the information, the interested person should fulfill the following conditions:
- Be a beginner or a practicing tourist guide
- He knows the Georgian language
- It is desirable to possess at least 1 foreign language at the perfect level
- He should be an adult   with higher education or a graduate student

Recently  the Prime Minister of Georgia underlined the tourism sector’s role in the country’s economy. According to the Prime Minister  the tourism sector plays a crucial role in boosting the country’s GDP. Moreover  the PM himself advocated the introduction of more tourism-oriented policies.  The trained guide will have a greater chance to get employed. They will also be eligible to work for international tourism companies to increase their income.
