Anglo-american hall of books updated at national library

The national library of Georgia has updated its Anglo-American hall of books. The hall has been updated with almost 4500 new books in its existing stock.

Tbilisi: The national library of Georgia has updated its Anglo-American hall of books. The hall has been updated with almost 4500 new books in its existing stock.

It is worth to note that the updating of hall was a long pending demand of local book reader. This demand has been finally met with addition of latest 4500 new books of different genre now.

While taking to its social media handles the representative of national library of Georgia added that, “Dear readers!  We would like to inform you that the English-language collection of the Anglo-American Hall of the National Library has been completely updated. 4,500 books have been barcoded and are now available to readers.”

It is worth to note that the collection was updated with the help of the American Embassy, ​​the international publishing house “Nova”, the Smithsonian Institution and   Peter Skinner. The UN Corner, which houses the latest research on sustainable development and ecology, has also been completely updated.

It is also to be noted that currently, the collection includes a collection of Pulitzer Prize-winning writers, a collection of Millennium Classics, modern fiction, the latest children’s literature and the latest scientific research on economics, medicine, physics, biology, psychology and history. This literature is usually published for students at international universities.

As per the officials of the national library of Georgia the readers can visit and find the gift of the Tbilisi Biennale, namely, English-language books on architecture and urbanization. The updated hall houses the latest illustrated encyclopaedias on virology, biology, genetics, geology, child education and ecology.

Soon, the gift of the American historian Peter Skinner will become available to readers – more than a thousand foreign-language publications on the history of the Caucasus and Georgia, which will be placed in the Kartveliology Hall.

The official also added that they would like to thank everyone who helped us develop this  updated books hall. The English-language hall is open to readers every day from 10:00 to 18:00, except weekends. The official urged local students to come forward and avail benefits from new addition of books as well.
