Batumi, Georgia: Another new kindergarten opened in Batumi on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The mayor of Batumi, Archil Chikovani, opened the kindergarten.
This news Kindergarten #14, located on Vazha-Pshavela Street, will serve 210 pupils.
A two-storey, modern standard garden adapted for people with disabilities was included within the project’s scope. A yard with children’s attractions was also included.The cost of the works will exceed 2 million 113 thousand GEL.
Another new daycare went into operation last month, serving 280 educators.
The mayor of Batumi, Archil Chikovani, also shared glimpses of the new kindergarten opening ceremony on his official Facebook post and wrote about it in his latest post.
He wrote, “Today we officially opened the new kindergarten #14, which has 210 students. The garden building fully meets modern standards and safety measures.”
“It’s worth noting that two more kindergartens will be opened by the end of this year – a complete rehabilitation of kindergarten #4 will be completed and a new kindergarten will be opened in the administrative unit of the airport, his post stated.
Archil Chikovani also said, “‘Meanwhile, together with our international partners and the Ministry of Infrastructure, we are actively carrying out the rehabilitation works of 9 gardens, which will be completed next year.”
“It is also important that the tender for the construction of two kindergartens has been signed, and we will start the next school year with two new preschools,” the mayor mentioned.
He concluded by writing that Batumi Municipality has a positive commitment to “child-friendly cities” and will build a number of kindergartens in the future; therefore, the specific challenges we have with the city in the infrastructure part will be met.
