Batumi: The one of the major city of Georgia Batumi has got another sports stadium. This world class stadium will help many potential sportspersons of the city to compete at world level coemption as well.
The Batumi city hall shared the glimpses of beautifull world class stadium on their official Facebook page. The glimpses of the visit of Batumi city hall’s official visit have been also shared by the Municipality officials on social media handles.
As per the official Facebook post of the city hall “The rehabilitation of artificial covered sports field in Batumi Boulevard has been completed. The works include changing artificial cladding, rehabilitating lighting, painting and safety measures.”
At the same time, it revealed that “78 thousand GEL was spent for the rehabilitation of the sports field. This year a new, modern standard sand court, which hosts international events, was opened in the Boulevard.”
An amount of 300 thousand GEL was spent for execution of whole project, as told by the officials of the Municipality. Archil Chikovani who is head of the department of road and reclamation system management department of Adjara inspected the completed projects with many other officials. Archil Chikovani during the inspection of the stadium also addressed the media personals. He welcomes the construction of this world class stadium in this area.
On the other hand Archil Chikovani also urged the youth of areas to avail maximum benefits from this world class sports facility as well. He underlined that, It is important for our city to develop sports infrastructure on Batumi Boulevard. This year we have implemented two new projects – sand playground and skatepark.
According to him we are actively implementing the renewal of the existing infrastructure. We have visited a mini football stadium there to get the detailed information about stadium which has undergone a complete rehabilitation and reconstruction, as well as sand pitches. This sports infrastructure is important not only for the promotion of sports teams in our city but also for sports in general. We will continue to work in this direction in the future.
