A crucial conference was held under the auspices of the Association of Neonatologists of Georgia. This dedicated conference was held on “Caring for the future – innovations in neonatology theme.”
The Minister of Health of Adjara Nino Nizharadze attended the opening ceremony of the scientific-practical conference. The first deputy minister, Mari Zanakidze, also accompanied the minister on this occasion.
At the same time the Minister of Health and Social Protection of Adjara Nino Nizharadze specifically added “This is the tenth time I have participated in the opening ceremony of this conference and it is a great honor for me to be here once again. Each of you is doing an important job and I want to express my gratitude for your work and the upliftment of the health services in the region.”
Minister also said “We are obliged to appreciate your work, to minimize the financial risks that citizens face, and to help introduce new services since the child’s health is the most important factor in the development of any country. What a particular association does is a precondition for the development of this field, I want to thank you and wish you success.”
It is worth mentioning that the conference is held annually and is attended by leading neonatologists, pediatricians, gynecologists, family doctors, and rural doctors. Medical science experts from all over the region participated in discussing the various issues associated with the topic.
The term neonatology is used for providing medical care to newborn babies, especially the child who suffer from severe ailments or are seriously sick. Neonatology is also used for the treatment of children who are victims of congenital disabilities.
The conference hall was full of medical health experts who shared their views and experiences. Most of the meeting attendees stressed that the government should focus on the advanced level of neonatological services to the public. They also stated that children’s healthcare services are critical for the development of society.
