The “Black Sea Honey Festival 2026” was held in Batumi. The event was attended by the Chairmen of the Supreme Council and Government of Ajara, Tsotne Ananidze and Zurab Pataradze, and the Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Ajara, Denis Salukvadze.

According to the smal note shared by the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, it should be noted that the goal of the event is to develop the beekeeping sector, support local farmers, and popularize Georgian honey.
More than 40 beekeepers from different regions of Georgia presented their products at the festival. Guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with and purchase honey and beekeeping products produced in Ajara and other regions of Georgia. Taking into account the tourist season, cultural and entertainment activities were held within the framework of the festival.
The festival also provided an opportunity for beekeepers to showcase the quality and variety of Georgian honey products, while visitors learned more about local beekeeping traditions and the importance of supporting domestic producers.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Batumi – Giorgi Tsintsadze, representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of Adjara, members of local self-government, the Chairman of the Adjara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and specialists in the field of beekeeping.
Batumi is hosting the Honey Festival for the ninth time. It was organized by the Adjara Beekeeping Business Association, with the support of the Adjara Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
