Batumi: The main and historic city of Georgia, Batumi has prepared itself for the successful organization of the International Conference of Guides. this international conference will be held for two days on the 21st and 22nd of February 2024.
It is to be specifically mentioned that on February 21-22, Batumi will host the international conference of guides for the first time. This was held previously in other places but the Batumi has been chosen first time.
It is to be added that along with Georgian reporters, representatives of Portugal, Poland, South Africa, and Israel, as well as invited guides and tourism experts will participate in the conference. They will share their experience to enhance the possibilities of tourism and the role of the tourism experts.
On this occasion, the World Federation of Tour Guides Associations, the Portuguese Association of Tour Guides and Tour Managers, and other important organizations related to the field of tourism will represent their respective organizations at the conference.
As per the available information the following topics will be discussed at the panel sessions with the heads of the guides associations of Georgia and Adjara, Georgian experts in the field of gastronomy, wine, and tourism:
The first topic will be “the role of a guide in the popularization of a tourist spot – a guide as an ambassador of a tourist spot” Similarly second topic will revolve around the “global tourism and guide profession – a unique experience, modern technologies and challenges”. Another important topic will be “Tourism and museums – the museum as a repository of cultural heritage and history”.
Entry at the conference will be free for guides, thematic associations, and representatives of the educational fields. The organizer of the event stated that all those who are interested in participating in this event should pre-register on the conference website.
