Georgia: The Georgian National Wrestling Federation “GeoWrestling,” announced that the Batumi Sports Palace of Georgia will host the Georgian National Championships in Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling from January 8-14, 2025. Â
The announcement was made on the official Facebook page of the Georgian National Federation on January 6, 2025.
In the Facebook post of the Georgian Wrestling Federation, it was stated that the winners of both events will be announced in the 10-10 weight category.
According to the information provided in the post, the Georgians will be able to see the Greco-Roman style wrestlers on the mat on January 9-11, 2025 and there will be 12 freestyle wrestlers who will compete in the sports palace of Batumi.
Attendance is free for everyone, So people can come to the sports palace as spectaculars and enjoy the wrestling championships. The Batumi citizens should come as it will be easier for them to visit as the sports palace in which the championships will take place is located in Batumi.
Georgia’s national wrestling team has had great success in both Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling championships in the previous years as well and it is expected that Georgian wrestlers will get success in these National championships also.
