The Georgia National Agency for Protection of Cultural Heritage assisted in the rehabilitation of the George-named church. In November of this year, the work that had been assigned 58 544 GEL was finished.

The Deputy Minister got acquainted with the problems and infrastructural challenges of Gurjaani’s puppet professional state theater.

The building is currently undergoing renovations, part of which has already been completed. Beka Davituliani thanked the theater staff for the enthusiasm she showed during her work and confirmed her readiness for future cooperation.

The Deputy Minister visited the exhibition halls of the Historical-Ethnographic Museum of Sighnaghi, met the management and staff and promised to support the Ministry in implementing their plans. Beka Davituliani also visited Mirzaani’s Niko Pirosmanashvili State Museum, which is being rehabilitated and will be completed by May 2026.

The Deputy Minister got acquainted with the repair works, visited the memorial house of Niko Pirosmani and got to know both the staff of the museum and the people involved in the rehabilitation process. They talked about some specific plans.

Beka Davituliani spoke about the Ministry’s activity in the process of developing the museum in the future. It is important that as a result of repair works, engineering communications and infrastructure will be organized in the museum.

Niko Pirosmani House Museum

The Niko Pirosmani House Museum is housed in a charming brick cottage from the 19th century that Pirosmani built himself. He left behind a great artistic legacy while residing here in his latter years. The museum has more than 11,358 pieces in its collection, including 14 of Pirosmani’s originals, a Pablo Picasso printing, and pieces by prominent Georgian artists. A collection of carpets and rugs, some of which were made by Pirosmani’s mother, are among the museum’s colorful displays of Kizikuri culture.
