The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze hoped for enhanced tourism in Sighnaghi. He was speaking at the opening ceremony of Hotel Bodbe there.
The Prime Minister said the opening of this new hotel reflected the region’s economic importance in the context of tourism.
He added that the hotel and other new centers there will attract international tourists to the country, ultimately contributing to the economy’s and the country’s progress.
In his speech on this occasion, the PM also said that the hotel had been established solely with the support of Georgian investment. The total budget amount spent on the project was $56 million.
Moreover, the PM revealed that nearly two hundred people were engaged in the construction process of this hotel, which generated employment opportunities for them.
According to available information, the hotel has 132 rooms, restaurants, a conference room, and relaxation spaces. The PM underscored the potential of the Kakheti region for attracting tourism to the country as well.
He also assured the attendees that we will do much more to attract tourists from Caucasus regional countries and from countries outside this region.
It is worth noting that the Government has initiated many development initiatives in this direction. Many construction projects are being executed in full swing.
The authorities have already opened the significant road link between Tbilisi and Sagarejo. The concerned authorities also plan to complete the construction of the road to Badiauri and the highway to Chalaubani shortly.
This hotel is just one hour away from the capital city, Tbilisi. The other key speaker on this occasion also spoke about the project’s significance. They stated, “These projects are significant for the region’s development.
They also said that everyone would like a hotel with the best facilities. This hotel will one day be one of the best choices for tourists and contribute significantly to improving the region’s economic condition.
