As the day of Christmas is fast approaching, many municipalities of Georgia have started to decorate the area of cities. The Mtskheta municipality also announced the program for the forthcoming celebration of Christmas, and they are going to illuminate Central Square.
As per the information made available by the local administration of Mtskeheta Municipaltu, decoration work has already begun in many parts. Moreover, on December 16, in the central square of Mtskheta, the New Year’s Christmas tree will be lit and fully decorated to make the occasion historic and memorable.
The Christmas events are held at a high scale throughout the whole of Georgia. Sometimes there is a disruption of traffic movement as well. To avoid public inconvenience from December 15 and 16, the traffic in the centre of Mtskheta will be restricted. People have been advised to schedule their journey as per the traffic restriction imposed by the municipality.
It is specifically to be mentioned that On December 15, from 20:00, the traffic in Mtskheta will be unilateral. Agmashenebeli Street of the area will be closed from Central Square to the Central Square of Mtskheti to make the traffic smooth. The car transport coming from the west side will be able to get in from the entrance of the Monastery of the Main Mothers, Iv.
Similarly The road will continue through Javakhishvili Street to Farnavaz Square, and the transport coming from Tbilisi can return by the same route.On the other hand, on the next day, December 16, the whole day of traffic in Mtskheta will be unilateral.
The vehicle movement from Farnavaz Square to Mtskheta will drive unilaterally on Kostava Street in the west direction. However, Transport coming from the west to Mtskheta will be able to move from the restaurant “Marani Hall” in the direction of the Teatron area.
As soon as festive events are over in the city, the traffic will be fully restored, and people will be able to use all the roads as usual. As per the local administration full arrangements have been made by the authorities so that this will remain a long-lasting and memorable event.
All the public places will be decorated with decorative items. The lighting has been installed in many areas; The area still left will be illuminated soon with lighting.
On this occassion there is planning of fireworks as well. On the other hand, people of the locality expressed their satisfaction with the arrangement of authorities. Residents also stated that they would fully cooperate with the authorities to make the Christmas celebration memorable.
Meanwhile, many local social and welfare organisations and government organisations are also encouraging the general public to cooperate with the administration.
