Mtskheta Municipality host folklore fesival

Multifunctional Centre for the Culture and Education of Mtsheta Municipality hosted the national festival of Georgian Folklore. This festival was hosted on Tuesday, November 21st 2023. Mayor Dimitri Zurabishvili of the city municipality also participated in the events of festivals.

The Multifunctional Centre for the Culture and Education of Mtsheta Municipality hosted the national festival of Georgian Folklore. This festival was hosted on Tuesday, November 21st 2023. Mayor Dimitri Zurabishvili of the city municipality also participated in the events of festivals.

On the occasion of the celebration of this national festival many folklore groups, musical ensembles and individual artist gave their impressive performance to make the moment wonderful and memorable for the audience.
In the beginning, the mayor of the city municipal was given a warm welcome by the organiser of the event at the multifunctional Centre for Culture and Education.
A group of young participants gave a musical performance in begining. The members of this group were dressed in off-white clothes. This group include both boys and girls .
In another impressive performance, the performers were holding the National flag of Georgia in their hands. They were waving the Georgian flag on air during the performance.

Just behind the stage, a big banner was placed on which a congratulatory message was written in the local language of Georgia. Some artistic groups appeared with the traditional dresses of Georgia.

As Local dresses are considered a symbol of pride and national unity, the performances of this traditionally dressed artist were highly appreciated by the audience of this cultural event.

Little children won the hearts of the audience; the attendees of the event cheered at the performance of these pupils, who looked cute, innocent and gorgeous in colourful dresses.

Some audience arrived with the children to witness the performances of the artists who came there from across the country to entertain the audiences with their unique and extraordinary performances.

Audiences of the event took their phone out of their pockets to catch the memorable moments of the event in their phone cameras. Little chidlren were seen to click the images with the phone of their parents. They seemed to be very happy while clicking the images with their smartphones.
Solo artist, during the performance, mesmerised with their different performing skill. some use very wonderful body moments to display their unique performing skills.

Artists also use flutes, guitars and other musical instruments as well for stage performances.

Guest speakers of the event, while speaking on the occasion, appreciated the performance of the artists and encouraged them to do their best in the field of music.

Mayor Dimitri Zurabishvivli, during his address, stated that” it is an honour for me to attend this wonderful festival with the participation of ensembles, groups of our municipality. I would like to thank first of all our little one, each participant, parents,teachers, and organisers”.
The mayor further added that the contribution of each of you in the Mtskheta municipality is of the utmost importance in the development and shaping of the cultural future of our country.
At the end , performers were awarded diplomas and Symbolic gifts.
