The Caucasus International University project won a prestigious grant competition award. The University became the winner of the 2024 Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia’s Fundamental Research Grant Competition award.
As per the details this award was given to project namely “The Connection of Export-Oriented Business Model Innovation with Types of Company Growth: Creating a Conceptual Model for Developing Export-Oriented Growth Strategies on the Example of Georgia” is the winner of the 2024 Fundamental Research Grant Competition.
It is worth nothing that the Caucasus International University is the lead and co-funding organization of the project. The other project partners are the Institute of Business Research and Education and the management company GGM. Within the framework of the project, Caucasus International University closely cooperates with professors from the IDRAC Business School (France) and the University of Pavia (Italy).
The project coordinator is Shorena Kurdadze, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University. The project was rated 48 (50) points. In the 2024 as well as in 2023, fundamental research grant competition, Caucasus International University projects were the leaders of the competition in the field of business and economics.
As per the official of the university and other partner organisation of this project, the goal of the research project is to study the relationship between export-oriented business model innovation (BMI) and types of company growth (firm growth).
Moreover, because of the project the relationship between BMI variables and types of company growth and their mutual influence will be identified, because of which a conceptual model will be created for managing the “growing trobles” and crises of export-oriented companies during international expansion.
Notably the research project envisages close cooperation with the Georgian business sector. At the same time 528 project applications were registered for the 2024 state scientific grant competition for fundamental research.
The projects submitted to the competition underwent technical expertise, after which 491 projects were evaluated by the European Science Foundation – Science Connect (ESF-SC) moreover 111 projects were selected for funding.
