A contest has been announced under Georgia’s teacher’s professional development program. This contest aims to upgrade the overall skills of teachers so that they can provide world-class education to students.
The contest has been announced by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara to promote teacher’s professional development, upgrade their qualifications, improve their knowledge and skills, and establish international contacts.
Moreover the Adjara administration will fund teachers working in public general educational institutions operating in the administrative territory. The maximum amount of funds for the financing is 5,000 GEL.
It is also to be added that the Grant will be awarded to competitors who will participate in EU (European Union) Member States. These member states include countries like the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Switzerland and Norway. This fund will help them to finance their participation in scientific and educational events that will take place between June and December of 2024
On the other hand as per the information available participation in the grant competition will be on an individual basis. Similarly applications will be accepted from 25 March 2024 to 25 April (18:00 hours).
Interested teachers can participate in the grant competition by applying with the documents listed electronically by visiting the link on the official website. Detailed information about all the terms and conditions can also be obtained from the ministry’s official website.
Any teacher in a public educational institution operating in the administrative territory of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara is eligible to participate in the grant competition.
Reacting to the announcement of the contest, teachers also expressed their happiness over the development. They said that this would be a great platform for teachers to upgrade their teaching skills and become experts in the field of education.
The ministry also provided information in this regard on their social media platforms. The social media users also reacted and lauds the decsion and said that this will prepare the educators as the world class teachers who will contribute greately for the develolment of education sector of country as well in future.
