Telavi: The city-based court found one accused guilty after the trial. The accused has been sent to prison for ten years.
The decision of the court was based on the evidence presented by the officials of the law enforcement agencies. The official of the prosecution office of Georgia presented the evidence in court after the conclusion of the preliminary investigation.
The Jury of the  Telavi district court considered the case related to revenge murder. It is to be noted that during the trial  it was established that the accused and the victim had known each other since their childhood year and had previous friendly relations.
The victim and accused  being the childhood friend  started a joint business in 2022. They continued their business venture for some time; however  later on due to some reason  a disagreement arose between them regarding the amount and profits of the company  which led to enmity between them.
As per the investigation of law enforcement  the incident actually took place last year. On November 11, 2023 in the village of Keshalo  the accused killed the victim by stabbing him multiple times. The accused committed this heinous crime out of a disagreement over the profits of the business amount and killed the victim for revenge.
The prosecutor’s office of Georgia has investigated the case very seriously and studied the cases. They after the trial presented evidence at the trial, the totality of which confirmed the commission of the crime by the accused.
The court of law  after examining all the evidence and the circumstances of the case in detail  found the accused guilty of premeditated murder. The court sentenced him to 10 years in prison.
The court has also commented that this is a very serious crime. The court has termed this as the crime committed by an accused against his childhood friend. Moreoevr the crime has sent a wrong message in society. The accused deserve the strict punishments the court observed while pronouncing the verdict.
