The Health Department of Georgia said the nation has reported 466 new cases of COVID-19, with 2,944 recoveries and 15 fatalities in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past seven days stands at 12.36 per cent.
Overall, there are currently 30,551 active cases of Coronavirus throughout the country.Â
Moreover, as per the figures given by the health authorities of Georgia, a total of 5,234 tests were conducted throughout the country within the last 24 hours, out of which 3,410 were rapid antigen tests, and the remaining 1,824 were PCR tests.
Since February 26, 2020, the country has recorded a total of 1,635,975 cases of Coronavirus. Out of 1,635,975Â cases of COVID-19, a total of 1,588,829Â patients have recovered, while 16,569 people have succumbed to it.
The new 466 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in several parts of the country.Â

The new Omicron variant of Coronavirus accounts for the majority of confirmed Covid-19 cases.
Furthermore, as of today, there are currently 1,461 patients who are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while 29,090 people are undergoing treatment at home and by consulting their family doctors. There are 393 people who are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
A total of 1,353,567 people have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,251,296 individuals have been fully vaccinated, amounting to 43.5 per cent of the country’s adult population.
In total, 228,281 individuals have received booster shots of the vaccine.Â
As of today, around 33.7 % of the total population of Georgia has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, which accounts for 12.5L of people. As of now, approximately 29.1L doses of vaccines have been administered in the country.
