The delegation of Tbilisi State University (TSU) met with representatives of several universities in the United States (US) on May 28, 2025, Wednesday. The main aim of the meeting was to internationalize learning and expand international connections in scientific research.
Within the framework of their meeting, the TSU Foreign Relations Department Head Tea Gergedava and Pace University New York Director of International Office Lisa Kraft talked about signing the agreement between Tbilisi State University and Pace University on the basis of bilateral cooperation.
The Tbilisi State University posted glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page. The TSU also shared a small note along with the photographs. It is worth noting that the note was about the discussions held at the meeting.
According to the note, it should be mentioned that the meeting paid special attention to opportunities for the students of Tbilisi State University (TSU) to participate in Pace University’s seasonal programs.
The main topics of importance like offering financial aid, academic support, and administrative services to TSU students have been discussed. Notably, it could be a significant boost to increasing TSU student mobility and deepening international experience.
The process of forming terms of the partnership involves simplifying the process of students’ academic mobility, access to English-language courses, and admission.
During their visit to the USA, Tea Gergedava and TSU Associate Professor Ekaterine Firtskhalava held a meeting at the Global Affairs Office of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
In addition, the meeting was attended by the University’s Vice President for Global Relations, Dr. Eric Garfunkel, and Associate Director of Partnership Development, Kim Pern.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of joint educational and research programs between TSU and Rutgers University. Special focus on student participation in seasonal and short-term programs that enable TSU students to gain high-quality, practice-oriented international experiences.
