San Diego, USA: The Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Baia Kvitsiani officially visited San Diego, USA from May 27-30, 2025.
Within the framework of his visit, he held a session on the topic – “Georgia: A Regional Hub for Education and Academic Investments” for participants of the international educational exhibition NAFSA 2025, on May 29, 2025, Thursday.

According to the information posted on the Facebook page of the Education Ministry, it should be noted that the Deputy Minister introduced the Georgian higher education ecosystem to the public. He also talked about the prospects and competitive advantage of Georgia as a regional education hub. In addition, he presented the transnational higher education guide.
According to Baia Kvitsiani, the internationalization of education is one of the main priorities of Georgia’s national strategy. This is the purpose of such thematic sessions, which are an effective tool for raising awareness and dissemination of information in the international arena.
It is worth mentioning that Georgia is emerging as a regional hub for education and academic investments due to its growing educational sector, attracting both domestic and international students.
During the session, representatives of Georgian higher education institutions also had the opportunity to present presentations about their universities.
Notably, the thematic session was conducted in question-answer mode and the participants received comprehensive information on topical and interesting issues from the Deputy Minister.
It is worth noting that the meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Tamar Ghvamichava.
