Baku, Azerbaijan: The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia Baia Kvitsiani visited the Republic of Azerbaijan and participated in the 2nd Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC) Conference and Skill Development Working Group Meeting.
The 2nd CAREC Working Group on Skills Development (CAREC WGSD) meeting was held from 3-5 April 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The meeting featured a high-level session with Deputy Ministers of Education from around 40 CAREC countries.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia posted the snippets of the conference meeting on its official Facebook page on April 7, 2025, Monday. The Education Ministry also posted a small note about the meeting, along with the photographs.
According to the note shared by the Georgian Education Ministry, it should be noted that the main goal of the conference was to strengthen partnerships among CAREC Member States, develop new regional initiatives, and share best practices for skills development.
During the visit, a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) was also signed between CAREC member countries. This MoC will help in promoting the development of green skills among students of vocational and higher education institutions and information exchange.
The note shared by the Education Ministry also stated that Baia Kvitsiani also held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan. Hasan Hasanli discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation in the field of education with the Georgian Deputy Minister. He also introduced the modern infrastructure and the activities of the center at the STEAM Innovation Center.
Within the framework of the CAREC group conference, Baia Kvitsiani also visited various vocational and higher education institutions in Baku, including Socar’s Training-Education and Certification Department, Baku Industry and Innovation State Vocational Education Center, and Azerbaijan Technical University (Azerbaijan Technical University).
