Tbilisi, Georgia: Citizens’ registration for Tbilisi City Hall’s “Study and Get Employed” program has begun. The city is launching a new phase of one of the most demanded programs, “Learn and Employ,” it announces online registration of interested citizens starting from 10 April, 2024, Wednesday.

The program considers the professional training/training of citizens registered in Tbilisi through short-term vocational courses in specialities in demand on the labour market and promoting employment in cooperation with the private sector. Citizens can study these courses for free.

The current semester of the program will train citizens in more than 65 specialities: construction, engineering, information technology, nutrition, tourism, service, design, transport, veterinary, health care, and finance.

Existing specialities will be added for the first time this year: cyber security course; digital marketing course; puppet animation creation course; explosives preparation course for mining plants, transport tunnels, pyrotechnic dumps and underground dumps; food safety and quality control course in food facilities; light aut Omobil’s pedestrian part technician course; interior design teacher The course.

The main criteria for selecting beneficiaries are registration in Tbilisi, minimum age of 18, duration of courses from one to seven months, and learning process including both theoretical and practical studies.

On average, 9,000 people have already been trained under the program, and the employment rate will be about 70% upon completion. More than 900 citizens will take training courses in the current semester.

Registration until May 1st will be carried out on the platform – www.dasakmdi.ge.

Throughout the academic year, the Municipal Hall will offer accessible workspaces in the newly rehabilitated multifunctional libraries for citizens who need a suitable space to attend online lectures.
