Georgia’s National Wine Agency held wine tasting seminar in Amsterdam

A Georgian wine-tasting    seminar was    held in    Amsterdam,     the capital   city of the Netherlands. This was held with the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and a  contractor company of the agency.

A Georgian wine-tasting    seminar was    held in    Amsterdam,     the capital   city of the Netherlands. This was held with the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and a  contractor company of the agency.

It is to be specifically mentioned that the event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency David Tkemaladze also.  The other dignitaries who were present on the occasion included the Ambassador Emergency and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands David Solomonia and Advisor to the Chairman of the National Agency of Wine Giorgi Tevzadze.

Speaking on the occasion David Tkemaladze said “To increase the popularity and export potential of Georgian wine across the countries of the world. Moreover, to promote the culture this is  very important to organize such events.” He further said that “ Georgian entrepreneurs will be allowed to hold a wine tasting, master classes, and presentations, which will be helpful to  inform the guests about Georgian wine, its history, culture, and the modern wine industry.”

It is worth mentioning that at this seminar on Georgian wine tasting the wines of 150 names of 18 Georgian wine companies were presented. At the same time at least 450 local wine experts, and commercial,  and media sector representatives attended the event.

The representative of the wine agency further said “One of the main objectives of the National Wine Agency’s activities is the promotion of Georgian wine on international markets.”

Notably, the national wine agency has been carrying out targeted advertising and marketing campaigns within the framework of the promotion of Georgian wine since 2013, to diversify markets.  The participants of the events said that this is the great effort of the wine agency towards the expansion of the market of Georgian wine.

They also added that such events are very important and must be held in the future as well. The social media user while reacting to the post of the wine agency said that this will make the Georgian wine popular in the the world markets.
