Minnister took This Initiative to appraise the participant’s teachers personally on various schemes and programs of the education ministry. This meeting was held along with the majority MP of Akhaltsikhe, Adigeni, Borjomi and Aspindza Anton Obolashvili and local government representatives.
At this important meeting, Minister Giorgi Amilakhvar spoke on the initiatives which the Ministry has already implemented. He also talked about the many planned initiatives to support teachers in the Country. The Minister introduced teachers to a new pay policy, promoting the professional development of teachers and strengthening school autonomy.
The Minister’s conversation with teachers also touched on various topical issues, Including supporting ethnic minority teachers, funding schools, hourly workings for teachers, and more.
During the meeting, teachers had got an opportunity to ask questions about issues of interest to Minster Giorgi Amilakhvari and get detailed information directly from the Minister.
It is noteworthy that, on the initiative of Giorgi Amilakhvari, more such types of meetings with teachers will be held step-by-step throughout the country in order to provide timely responses to the problems facing by teachers and to ensure their active involvement in the process of making relevant decisions.
