Revaz Sokhadze visit school construction sites

Tbilisi: Revaz Sokhadze the chairman of the Tbilisi city council has visited the school construction sites. He has inspected the sites of the school in Samgori District.

It is to be specifically mentioennd that in Revaz Sokhadz visited Samgori district, N127 and N215 schools where rehabilitation works are underway. The complete rehabilitation of schools involves the creation of modern infrastructure and the complete furnishing of the buildings. The schools will have science and computer laboratories, a library, a resource room, sports infrastructure and recreational areas.

Revaz Sokhadze provides information in this regard on his Facebook post. He stated in his Facebook post that, “Today I got acquainted with the rehabilitation process with the Chairman of Tbilisi City Council Giorgi Tkemaladze, Chairman of the Committee of Education and Culture Kakhaber Labuchidze, Director of the Agency for Education and Scientific Infrastructure Development Levan Sukhitashvili and Majoritarian MP of Krtsanisi District of Sakrebulo Levan Japaridze”.

The post also added that “The 127th school in Tbilisi was built by the blind community in the 60s of the last century. About 30% of schoolchildren today are partially sighted, while other students with special educational needs are studying at school”.

Given these special features the school will be fully adapted for persons with disabilities as the ramps and lifts will be provided and wet spots will be adapted.

It is to be added that school 215 will host students and their teachers living in the Little Lilo settlement with fully rehabilitated, safe and modern educational spaces from the next academic year.

Revaz Sokhadze during his visit, also said that this would be the best facility for all the students. He further said that the local administration, with the help of the central government is providing every assistance to upgrade the educational infrastructure.

They also inspected the site plans and model of the new building. Construction workers were busy to complete the construction work as soon as possible.Revaz Sokhadze also assures to provide the required assistance for the timely completion of construction work.
