PM Kobakhidze inspects school building in Batumi

Prime Minister Irkali Kobakhidze visited the construction site of the 16th Public school building in Batumi. The official apprised him about the progress of the ongoing work.

Adjara: Prime Minister Irkali Kobakhidze visited the construction site of the 16th Public school building in Batumi. The official apprised him about the progress of the ongoing work.

The school building being erected to cater to the needs of the students will be a three-story building. It will have forty rooms and the capacity to accommodate 2000 students in two different shifts as well.

The school will be equipped with modern facilities, such as a laboratory, a library, a computer room, an assembly hall for 300 spectators  and open and closed sports grounds with stadiums.  More importantly, the building will be adapted for people with disabilities.

The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports of Adjara. An  amount of 17,388,170 GEL is being spent to complete the project. During his visit to the school, the PM was accompanied by many other government officials and representative of the local city hall of Batumi.

 

The PM also obtained information about the full design of the building by reviewing the site plans that were installed on the school’s site. Prime Minister  along with his visiting delegation,   inspected the rooms of the school building as well.

The local administration representatives and the construction company officials provided the Prime Minister with in-depth details about the project’s success.  The prime minister  assures that the central government is making every effort to improve the level of education.   The government of Adjara has shared information about the project on its official Facebook page. They also posted  pictures of the under-construction building.

The picture shows that the building structure of all three stories has been erected  and the construction workers are busy giving it the final touch.  The building is also being readied as per the latest standard. For tackling any emergency situation, the building has a full-fledged arrangement, including fire safety measures .
