Tbilisi, Georgia:Â The EGI(Europen Georgia Institute) Academy invited applications from children between the ages of 15 and 18. These applications are invited for a four-week course. Registration has been already begun for new entries.
European-Georgian Institute, with the support of international partners, will organize this training session. It is specifically to be mentioned that EGI Academy through this course will bring together motivated, innovative students, future leaders and forward-thinking young people who want to develop themselves, participate actively in civic life and are determined to bring dramatic change for the betterment of Georgia.
Speaking specifically on the objective of the course the organizers of the session stated that the “ Goal of our project is to provide young people with the knowledge and awareness of civic issues and to enhance their skills through this training session this will also cover actual and interesting issues that are unfortunately often ignored in the school environment”‘.
At the same time Apart from the lecture section the course also includes an important practical section to enable project participants to use the knowledge gained and improve their skills. EGI Academy will also promote the active and successful involvement of young people in public life.
As per the information available In EGI Academy lectures will be held weekly and on weekends. Participants of the course will gain important knowledge on the following issues:
The evolution of a society and its present status
Georgia and the world relationÂ
Georgia and Europe’s Relation
how does the economy work at the regional and international level
The real history of Georgia and its importance
Politics and ideas for evolution
Elections and democracy in the present time
Art and freedom for the progress of healthy democracy
Cinema and freedom and its role in the present time
Literature and Peculiarities and its significance in the twenty-first century
Man and nature and its future
Diversity in Georgia and the role of the state to Preserve it
15-18-year-old school pupils of any region can take this course and can enhance their skills by learning something new in this training session. As far as the schedule of the course is concerned the course will last for four weeks. Lectures will be held every weekend from 10 to 14:00
Moreover the Start date is 20 January for the session. The registration page on the official website will close on 14 January at 23:59 . This page may be closed earlier if we receive too many applications. So it is advised that the early registration process be completed.
The academy will hold this training course in the new office of the European-Georgian Institute near the Sports Palace.Â
The EGI and its partners will cover all the costs of participation in the Academy but in order to participate it will be necessary to pay a symbolic membership fee of 50 GEL. However in case the payment of the membership fee is complicated for objective reasons selected participants will receive an EGI scholarship.
