Tbilisi: Ekaterine Nandoshvili, the Chairperson of the Board of the Chamber of Notaries held a important meeting.This was a general meeting held to apprise attendees about activities of next year 2025.
It is worth to note at this General Meeting of the Members of the Chamber of Notaries, Ekaterine Nandoshvili focused on the priority areas of the Chamber of Notaries’ activities. At the same time, she spoke about the deepening of international relations of Georgia with other countries of world.
She told to all people present on this occasion that, In the direction of stabilising bilateral relations the institution achieved significant success last year. This is also to be noted that the Georgian Chamber of Notaries joined the Council of Notaries of the European Union with observer status.
The Ministry of Justice and the Chamber of Notaries’ activities prioritize the accessibility of notary services for persons with disabilities and the provision of high-standard services.
For this purpose, the Chamber of Notaries has already adapted 5 notary offices with appropriate infrastructure for wheelchair users, including two in Tbilisi, Batumi, Tsnori and Marneuli. This process will continue in the future and will gradually include all notary offices.
The Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Notaries spoke at the general meeting about the advantages of digitizing the notary archive and noted that the digitization of the notary archive will significantly reduce the time it takes to search for documents stored in the archive.
Moreover, with introduction of this digital archive citizens will receive fast and full-fledged services in terms of requesting and receiving materials from the notary archive.
The oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed notaries was held at the general meeting. 10 notaries were appointed to the position in 2024. As a result, the availability and geographical reach of notary services has increased significantly.
The office bearers of notaries assured to expand reach of notary services in future also.
