Hiking club Ronin is Offering a three-day tour in Svaneti, one of the most scenic regions of Georgia. The tour is scheduled for February 13-15, coinciding with the Lamproba festival, an ancient tradition that celebrates the arrival of spring and the abundance of life.
Lamproba (also known as Limpar, Decesh Lamprob, Suimnish, or Suimnichlamprob) is a festival that dates back to the pre-Christian era and is still preserved by the locals of Svaneti. The festival involves lighting bonfires, torches, and candles to symbolize the sun and warmth and singing, dancing, and praying for good weather, crops, cattle, and people.
The tour will start from Tbilisi, where the participants will meet at Didube station at 3:45 pm on February 13 and depart at 4:00 pm. The first day will include visiting the Enguri reservoir. This stunning artificial lake is the largest in the Caucasus, and an overnight stay at a family hotel in Mestia, the capital of Svaneti.
The second day will feature a trip to the Tetnuldi ski resort, where the participants will have free time to enjoy the snow and the views of the majestic mountains. Alternatively, if the road conditions allow, the tour may visit the Hashkil huts and the famous swing, a thrilling attraction that swings over a deep gorge.
The third and final day will take the participants to the Hatsvali resort, where they can ride horses, ski, or relax. The tour will end with a departure to Tbilisi in the evening.
The tour costs 200 GEL per person, including transportation, a guide, and a photo shoot. The price does not include food, tram tickets, museum tickets, or high-performance transport to the ski resort. The tour is open to anyone who loves nature, adventure, and culture and wants to experience the unique charm of Svaneti and Lamproba.
