Georgia: The Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) announces that the world-renowned chef Jamie Oliver is in Georgia on a gastronomic tour of the country.

Jamie Oliver has arrived in Georgia to help promote the country’s delicious gastronomic cuisine in an initiative spearheaded by the Georgian National Tourism Administration. On his culinary tour, Jamie will learn about the country’s unique food culture as he meets local artisans and learns how to cook Georgian dishes.

The full name of Jamie Oliver is Jamie Trevor Oliver. He is an English celebrity chef, former restaurateur, and cookbook author. He is known for his casual approach to cuisine, which has led him to front numerous television shows and open many restaurants. Oliver reached the public eye when his series The Naked Chef premiered in 1999. 

Jamie Trevor Oliver was born and raised in Clavering, Essex. His parents, Trevor and Sally Oliver, ran a pub/restaurant, the Cricketers, where he practiced cooking in the kitchen with his parents. He has one sibling, Anne-Marie, who was educated at Newport Free Grammar School.
