Rustavi to host Grand New Year Concert after a decade

Rustavi, Georgia: The city of Rustavi is gearing up for a spectacular New Year celebration on December 31, 2023, as the Prime Minister has announced a grand gala concert for the first time in 10 years. 

The concert will feature some of the best Georgian artists and performers, who will entertain the audience with their music, dance, and talent. The concert will take place at Rustavi Central Park, starting at 20:00. 

The line-up of the concert includes the following acts:

  • Georgian Folk Song and Dance State Academic Ensemble “Erision” will showcase Georgia’s rich and diverse culture through its traditional songs and dances.
  • Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater Orchestra, led by Nika Nikvashvili, will perform classical and modern pieces with exquisite skills and grace.
  • The Reggaeton group will bring Caribbean vibes and rhythms to the stage with reggae and dancehall music.
  • Ensemble “Shivkatsa” will sing and play folk instruments such as pandura, Chonburi, and samurai.
  • Lisa Bagrationi will enchant the audience with her beautiful voice and soulful songs.
  • Achiko Nizharadze will rock the crowd with his energetic and catchy pop tunes.
  • Ensemble “Georgian Six”, who will impress the audience with their vocal harmonies and acapella skills.
  • Cote with a pillow, who will make the audience laugh with their witty and hilarious comedy sketches.
  • Sextet “Bookmarks” will delight the audience with its jazz and blues music.
  • Maya Jabua will dazzle the audience with her stunning dance moves and choreography.
  • Nukri Kapanadzewill charms the audience with his romantic and melodious ballads.
  • Katie Gabisiani will thrill the audience with her powerful and dynamic rock songs.
  • Eka Dolidze will captivate the audience with her folk and pop fusion music.
  • Eka Mamaladze will end the concert with her iconic and legendary hits.

The concert presenter will be Nikoloz Tsulukidze, a famous TV host and actor who will keep the audience engaged and entertained with his charisma and humour.

The concert will culminate with a ceremonial fireworks display at 00:00, marking the arrival of the New Year and the start of a new era for Rustavi and Georgia. The fireworks will accompany a countdown and a toast by the Prime Minister, who will wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.

The New Year concert in Rustavi is expected to be one of the country’s most significant and memorable events, as it will celebrate the revival and development of the city after a long period of stagnation and decline. The concert will also showcase the talent and diversity of the Georgian artists and performers, representing the nation’s spirit and identity.

The concert is free and open to everyone, and everyone is invited to join the celebration and enjoy the music, dance, and fun. The concert will also be broadcast live on several TV channels and online platforms so everyone can witness the historic and festive occasion.

The city administration of Rustavi hopes that the concert will bring joy, hope, and unity to the city and the country and wishes everyone a happy and healthy New Year.
